Drum Reeling Cables
There are two popular types of Drum Reeling cables, the traditional Neoprene Sheath ‘NSHTOU-J’ and
the increasingly popular Polyurathene sheath cables which tend to be identified by brand names rather
than by a generic name. The polyurathene cables, although slightly more expensive are significantly
smaller in diameter hence allowing the selection of smaller cable reeling drums for new projects. When
replacing existing cables it is important to be sure that the new cable has a similar diameter to that being
replaced. All SIMBAL drum reeling cables have a rated voltage of 600/1000V.
DRUMFLEX ‘NSHTOU-J’ Neoprene Drum Reeling cable
SIMBAL ‘DRUMFLEX’ drum reeling cable is specially designed for cable reeling applications, the cable has an
in-built textile strainer woven between an inner & outer Neoprene sheath. Core insulation is from EPR Rubber
compound helping to provide the flexibility required for reeling applications.. – Please follow the links below to

TROMMELFLEX PUR-HF
‘TROMMELFLEX PUR-HF’ has a similar construction to DRUMFLEX with the exception of the inner & outer
sheath material which is from a special polyurathene compound allowing the overall cable diameter to be
reduced significantly without harming the flexibility or wearing capabilities of the cable. Core insulation is
also improved using a polyester base material. The sheath colour of Trommelflex PUR-HF is black and the
cable is suitable for temperatures between -40 and +90 deg C. – Please follow the links below to view a

SEMOFLEX DRUM
SEMOFLEX DRUM is an equivalent cable to TROMMELFLEX PUR-HF with the major difference being the
outer sheath colour which in this case is Yellow, the cable is suitable for temperatures between -40 and
